Today, we receive an update on the progress of the William H. Hannon Library from the Project Superintendent, Mark Wald. He is responsible for scheduling and coordinating all work, all deliveries of materials to be installed, and safety and quality control in the field.
What is being worked on right now?
- Glass installation
- Installing the raised flooring system
- Roofing
- Framing walls and ceilings
- Roughing in the walls and ceilings with the mechanical, electric, and plumbing
- Installing stone on the walls
- Installing ceiling grid for the acoustical ceilings
- Installing door frames
- Priming and painting on the first floor
- Grading the new fire road and the amphitheater
What has been finished?
- Structural steel
- Placing the glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) and precast concrete skin on the building
- Fireproofing, with only patch work to be done
What will you start working on in the weeks ahead?
- Building retaining walls on site as well as site concrete
